Are you done?
Thanks for writing, Anna. I was a little taken back by your message. You took me off guard, but that’s okay. We can talk about this… First, I want you to know that I haven’t given up on you as a person, and I still love you as much as I ever did. Second, there’s something you need to understand… Back when you were in the Youth Group, I cared about you very much and was invested in seeing you, Anna Fielding, become the person God has created you to be. Since then, this whole time you’ve been living in rebellion, Josh and I have been with your family, praying for you, and watching their hearts break. And it broke our hearts too. So if I seem distant, it’s not because I’m judging you. I want to forgive you, but I honestly don’t know if you’re done yet. So, are you done? Is this really where your heart is? Because you are now back with the people who actually do love you and believe in you, and we’d love to be able to trust you again. So, my ears and heart are open to you, Anna. Why don’t you be honest with me and explain to me where you’re at, and how you want us to be towards each other, and then we’ll talk about how we can get our friendship back. Because I agree.
