Faith, prayer, is not about trying to manipulate God and try to getting him to be on our side. It is about changing and learning how to be on God’s side. It’s not about getting things to go our way. It’s about finding His way, which happens to be the only right way.
I remember trying to manipulate you, God. I don’t know why you put up with that. Or why you sustain a planet that has systematic and professional raping of young children in Asia. When will it end? It’s staggering… how the more I learn, the more I just don’t understand. I pray for justice. Justice. Because I believe that is your way. It has to be.
